My Mezzanine blog-site got hammered with a lot of spam. I'm using a multisite installation with lots of settings files, so my ./manage.py shell doesn't work right, making it a bit harder to get lazy access to the database abstraction layer.
I wanted to wipe out all of the comments, the admin interface is worthless for this. I dropped down to the database and went to town:
delete from generic_threadedcomment;
delete from django_comment_flags;
delete from django_comments;
Bye, bye, spam. I'm switching to Disqus now. I just wouldn't feel clean without doing the above first, though.Share on Twitter Share on Facebook
